Ever wonder how celebrities of Victorias Secret models achieve those sexy voluminous curls? These curls are great for giving a twist to smooth hair and bring a sense of luxury. Let’s dive right in!

What You’ll Need:

Curling Iron or Wand: For this tutorial our model is using a Hot Tools curling iron; however, any curling iron or wand will do as long the barrel has a 1 1/4 inch diameter.

Heat Protectant: Because this shields your hair from heat related damages such as split ends and breakage. Once you have damaged hair, it changes it's porosity, making it very difficult to manage.

Beach Waves Texture Spray: One of our favs is the Oribe Beach Wave & Shine Spray.

Cashmere Hair Classic Clip-in Extensions: For maximum volume and fullness which is key to achieve this look and hold your curls. In the video below our model uses the 24" length Sunset Blonde Cashmere Hair Clip In Extensions.

Step-By-Step Guide

1. Prepare Your Hair
Make sure your hair is celan and dry before proceeding with this process, as oily hair can weigh down your curls or make it difficult for the hair to grip the curls. Clip in your luxury human hair extensions before curling. You can also spray in your Cashmere Hair Shine Spray as a heat protectant for both your extensions and your natural hair!

2. Start with the Bangs
If you have bangs, this is the best place to start. Wrap the hair around the curling iron just once to have a single curl. Leave the ends out to leave them slightly straighter, if possible. This technique results in the fringe being less precise but softer in terms of texture compared to the rest of the hair. For extra hold and volume, while the bang section is still hot, wrap it around a roller and pin into place to let the curl cool and set while you curl the rest of your hair.

3. Curl the Front Sections
Then, grab the strands of hair at the sides of your face, and wrap it around the barrel to create loose curls pointing backward. This also helps to opens up your face giving it a good frame and sculpt.

4. Alternate the Curl Direction
After curling the front sections of hair closest to your face, alternate the direction you wrap your curls to make it look more like a wave. Wrap one piece towards the face and the other towards away from the face. This process of flipping and wrapping allows the curls to stay separate and not combine into a single large curl. It also enhances the formation of curls giving them the necessary volume.

5. Leave the Ends Out
When you are curling your hair, don’t put the ends of the hair in the barell. This keeps the ends straighter which in turn gives a more natural look.

6. Set the Curl
Keep each curl in the barrel for approximately three to four seconds. When you release the curl, you should cup the hair into your hand to let it cool. This also sets the curl and helps it to last longer.

7. Gently Brush Out the Curls
When you curled the remainder of your hair, gently brush through the curls using your fingers in a raking technique. This relaxes the curls a bit more and smooths them out to blend effortlessly together with the extensions.

Finishing Touches:
To finish everything off and set your stye in place, it is good to use a beach waves texture spray to complete your style. This product is a must-have in your collection: the Oribe Beach Wave and Shine Spray for curl maintenance, it gives your curls a beautiful, disheveled look.

Heat Styling Tips

For Thicker Hair: Get a curling iron that allows you to adjust the heat setting slightly higher but not more than 400 degrees to ensure the heat evenly distributes throughout the hair.

For Finer Hair: It is key to lower the temperature of your iron to avoid excessive heat damage.

General Rule: an optimal temperature for heat styling is around 350-375 degrees.

That all for today’s tutorial! These curls are so simple and very suitable for any occasion. Don’t forget to subscribe for more beauty tips and Hair tutorials!
