By Tatiana Montano

Hair care can be expensive trust us we know! Although there are many cheap alternatives out there on the market, are you really saving money in the long run? The short answer is no!

Although you may be paying for less up front, you're actually investing your money into something that is not nearly going to give you the same results, or opportunities high-quality products will get you and most importantly they won't even last you as long, so you'll ultimately be finding yourself needing to repurchase more often. Let's breakdown the 5 main reasons why you'll regret investing in cheap hair extensions.

Low Quality Materials = Low Quality Results

Cheap hair extensions are often made of low-quality materials that look unnatural and can tangle easily. Synthetic extensions may be cheaper in price, but at what cost? Synthetic extensions do not last as long as clip in human hair extensions for many factors. Synthetic extensions don't blend as seamlessly into your natural hair like human hair extensions can.

The texture is much different and they appear unnaturally shiny that it gives an unnatural appearance to them. Once synthetic hair gets tangles, matted or damaged from heat styling it isn't something a quick wash and condition can save, at that point you're looking at purchasing a whole new set.

Cheap Hair Quality Comes With a Short Lifespan

Cheap hair extensions often come with a short lifespan, meaning you may have to replace them more often than  higher-quality extensions which ends up costing you more in the long run. If you are someone who wear extensions on a daily basis, heat styling and overall wear and tear can do a lot of damage very quickly to any hair extensions even your natural hair.

Cashmere Hair Extensions are created using only the highest quality, long- lasting, professional grade 100% Remy human hair. With Cashmere Hair clip in human hair extensions, sets can last:

  • 5+ years - With occasional wear and proper storage and care, your extensions can last for years. Keep in mind, just like our own hair, any type of heat and styling products damages hair. Avoiding hairspray and other hair products will also prolong the life of your Cashmere Hair. How you store your extensions can also play a role in their longevity. We recommend storing them in our Extensions Storage Bag when not in use. Never store the extensions wet.
  • 1- 2 Years - With daily wear including proper care, cleansing and maintenance, minimal heat styling and without hairstyling products (such as hairspray, gel, mousse, etc).
  • 3-6 Months - With extreme daily wear, when heat styling tools are used frequently, when hair extensions are not washed regularly, and when styling products are used.

Comfort is Quality

You know the term you get what you pay for is so true when it comes to hair. Cheap hair extensions may not be as comfortable to wear, as they may cause irritation or discomfort on your scalp. Cashmere Hair extensions were designed with comfort in mind.

From the weight of the hair to the way the hair is sewn together on the track, it was meant to be comfortable enough to wear on a daily basis without causing damage to your natural hair. We offer the convenience of a DIY application for even the most inexperienced user. With specially designed full tracks with small clips create the perfect hair extensions.

Sometimes underestimated, clips play an important role in the comfort, durability, and safety of clip-in hair extensions, as well as the ease of concealing the tracks. No matter the quality of the hair, the quality of the clips plays a role in the length of time you can wear your clip-ins, the comfort level, and how well they stay put.

Cashmere Hair's metal clips are small, with a silicone-covered band to prevent slippage, and painted for maximum comfort & safety. It only takes minutes to apply, and seconds to remove. They are easy to conceal, even with thin hair. Poorly made cheap hair extensions can cause damage to your natural hair due to their rough texture and added weight.

Heat Styling

Synthetic hair is also much more difficult to style and in some cases, you may not be able to use heat on them at all. If you think about it, synthetic hair is basically plastic hair, so when you apply heat to it, you're essentially melting the hair. it also can't hold a curl, which means you are limited to how much you can style the hair which is essential to having it blend with your natural hair. Cashmere Hair extensions are never made with synthetic hair.

Remy hair extensions can be styled using heat such as flat irons or curling irons, just like your own hair without immediately damaging the hair and you may notice the style will hold much longer as well. It is wiser to invest in high-quality Remy hair than you can expect from Cashmere Hair because wear time & durability will last longer than other brands.

Get More For LESS

weighing the difference in grams of competitor brands extensions compared to cashmere hair

Although the price tag on other extensions may be more appealing, because of the quality and amount you are getting, you will actually find that you will be losing out on money rather than saving it. We ran a little experiment here at the Cashmere hair office, and put our extensions to the test compared to the Amazon Viral extensions.

We spent in total $80 for 2 sets of extensions that overall didn't even add up to one set of Cashmere Hair. As you can see in the photo above, we weighed each set and even both combined didn't add up to the amount of HIGH-QUALITY hair you would be getting in a set of Cashmere Hair.

We noticed that the Amazon extensions only had 2 wefts of hair sewn together on each weft, whereas Cashmere Hair has 5 wefts sewn together on each track. Having this significantly less hair makes it even more difficult to blend with your natural hair especially if you are adding length. Rachel had to put in both full sets of Amazon extensions and they still didn't make much of a difference in her hair at all. In total, she had 27 clips in her hair, which can get so uncomfortable throughout the day and not to mention even more damaging in the long run to your natural hair.

Overall, it is a much better bang for your buck to invest in something like hair extensions. Your hair deserves it! Although it seems like you are saving money by purchasing less expensive extensions, you are actually accomplishing the opposite since you won't be getting as much as you would with Cashmere and the quality of hair is nowhere near as good that you'll find yourself repurchasing a lot more often. Cashmere Hair is the best extensions on the market and you won't regret investing in your hair for an instant confidence boost!
