Step 1: Get to Know Your Undertone
-Cool undertones: lean more towards ash, beige or neutral (not perceivably warm).
-The warm undertones: are either golden, honey or copper.
-Neutral undertones: are in between and may put on both.
Pro tip: Check the middle of your hair and the ends of it, not the roots as that is where the extensions will be blended the easiest.
Step 2: Determine If You Are Solid, Highlighted, or Balayage
Flat, one-dimensional hair is declared dead in 2026. Assuming you have highlights or lowlights or growing out color on your hair, then a dimensional shade will provide you with the best natural appearance.
