How to Measure Your Head for the Perfect Clip-In Extension Fit
How to Measure Your Head for the Perfect Clip-In Extension Fit

Why Measuring Matters

Step 1: Measure the Width of Your Head

Step 2: Measure Occipital Bone Area
To find the occipital bone you'll need to tilt your head forward a little and then feel the bump, this is your occipital bone, aka the most stable area to clip in your medium width weft (the 2nd widest weft). Measure horizontally through this section. This helps you in determining the position of your base wefts, how low or high you need to place it to achieve maximum comfort and hold.

Step 3: Measure Your Lower Hairline

Step 4: Plan Your Placement
Lay out all of your measurements to understand the proper position of each weft. This will ensure that there is no overcrowding and will aid in the natural blending of your extensions with your natural hair. You should always ensure that you leave at least an inch of hair between each weft in order to lay flat and keep enough hair to cover each layer to remain undetected.
Final Tips for a Perfect Fit
-Wefts should not be put too close to the hairline.
-Angle your side piece wefts slightly downward towards your face for a lifted, seamless blend.
-With hair that is fine or slippery, tease the areas a little and then clip in.
